Joel Gethin Lewis is an interaction designer and artist. From 2005 to 2008 he was the interaction designer at United Visual Artists, working with clients such as U2, Massive Attack, Nokia and the British Council. Educated in London, he split his time between the Royal College of Art and working at Dazed&Confused magazine, where amongst other things he launched AnotherMag.com and assisted the photographer Rankin. In other work he has collaborated with such varied clients as Benetton, Rem Koolhaus, IBM, and Casio. In addition to his work as part of YYN he is a partner at Hellicar&Lewis. He is one of the founders of the interaction design meet-up, This Happened.
His recent work includes an interactive window installation for Selfridges in London, and an interactive mask installation for the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Joel has been presenting his collaborations and approach to creativity for the past four years. He has recently given a Presidents Lecture at the D&AD in London and continues to present at companies and conferences internationally.
